How to Spell Structural Integration?

As your “Gravity Ace” you should know that I get more than a little quizzing on all things “Gravity”. That is, “Gravity”, and how it behooves Humanity to align itself at the tangible bodily level with its ineluctable, constant, and ever-present ecological presence on Earth.

And, ancillary questions as well.

Witness ...

QUESTIONER [Q]: Small point. How come you capitalize “Structural Integration” when you refer to the field of Rolf Work. You know, that thing Dr. Ida P. Rolf originated to foster balance of the body with the Gravitational field of the Earth?

“GRAVITY ACE” [“GA”]: Make that balance of the whole Human being. The body is simply our point of contact. In respect to the most basic principle of Physics. And, it's also basic Anatomy. You know, how the Human body design is built on vertical symmetries? That, in a nutshell, is a core idea in our art-craft we call "Structural Integration".

[Q]: I get that, but how about the initial caps on “Structural Integration”? After all, it’s a generic term. Grammar rules all agree on that. How come?

[“GA”]: Grammatical correctness notwithstanding, we capitalize “Structural Integration” because we want to specify that in our usage we’re referring to a field of practice based on the teaching of Dr. Rolf. Capitalization of the term doesn’t make it distinctly our own just from the use of caps. Use of caps in consistent repetition in our written communications reinforces the specific meaning with which we as practitioners of the art-craft want to associate to it.

[Q]: So, if I get your drift, you want me to understand when I see “Structural Integration” that you mean the “art-craft” of “balancing the body with the Gravitational field of the Earth”? And, not just some generic idea like can be applied to anything what aims to put something together properly; like the pyramids, or even plumbers. Heck, even a kid stacking blocks can be said to be working at structural integration.

[“GA”]: Exactamundo! We practice “Structural Integration” and what you get from it is ... structural integration. We use the caps to get it clear where we stand in the broad domain of Human Evolutionary Potential. And, spell it “structural integration” when we talk about the result. Kapische?

[Q]: "Human Evolutionary Potential"? Isn't it just for sore shoulders, and bow legs?

["GA"]: Yes. And, no. But, that's a whole other discussion.
